Argyll and Bute

Claimed to have a total coastline greater than the whole of France, Argyll has beautiful scenery wherever you look. Both on the mainland and the Islands there is plenty to see, from the spectacular Glencoe to the wildness of Rannoch moor. On Islay you can tour the distilleries that produce some of the finest Scotch in the world, or for a more historical and spiritual experience, visit the Island and Abbey of Iona. Campbell Town is an attractive sea port, and nearby is the world famous Mull of Kintyre. If you have the time and golf is your game, you are never far from a decent course.
