CheshireFor many Cheshire is the county where all the footballers live, but it has much more to offer than that. For a start there is Chester itself, with its City Walls, Gothic Cathedral and The Rows; streets of two-tiered shops dating back to the 13th century. Chester Zoo, with over 500 species on display is worth a visit. Alternatively time your visit to coincide with one of the race courses many meetings and aim to win some spending money on your favourite horse. Outside the City itself there are other attractions. Cheshire is on the edge of The Peak District and there are walks of all lengths and difficulty to choose from, with spectacular country to be seen. |
