Derbyshire

Derbyshire is home to The Peak District, Britain’s first National Park, offering superb scenery and excellent walks. But apart from the landscape Derbyshire has a lot more to offer. It has great houses, such as Chatsworth, Haddon Hall, or Adam’s masterpiece at Kedleston. For more modern tastes there is Donnigton Park, with it’s race track and museum of racing history, and apart from the county town of Derby itself, there are a number of interesting towns and villages scattered throughout the county, such as Chesterfield, Buxton and Edale; the start of the Pennine Way.
