North and West Eire
This area consists of the counties of Cavan, Donegal, Leitrim, Monaghan and Sligo. An area of stunning beauty with beautiful scenery dotted with villages and small towns. In Sligo you can visit Europe's oldest Stone Age cemetries at Carrowmore, or visit the grave of W.B Yeats at Drumcliffe. On a lighter note visit the Ring Fort of the O'Neill Clan, former King of Ireland, in Donegal, which rests on top of a 240m hill allowing stunning views. The Inishowen Peninsula is a region allof its own and an important conservation area popular with birdwatchers.
