In Sligo you can visit Europe's oldest Stone Age cemetries at Carrowmore, or visit the grave of W.B Yeats at Drumcliffe. On a lighter note visit the Ring Fort of the O'Neill Clan, former King of Ireland, in Donegal, which rests on top of a 240m hill allowing stunning views. The Inishowen Peninsula is a region allof its own and an important conservation area popular with birdwatchers. |
