Herm

Only twenty minutes by boat from Guernsey is the tiny tranquil island of Herm. Only two and a half kilometres by one kilometre, and with no cars or crowds, it really is an oasis of calm. There is plenty to see here, and if you are visiting the Channel Islands it is worth a day trip. There is the 10th century church of St. Tugual for example, or the 27 miles of coastline, with plenty of beaches and a reputed 92 species of birds to observe. There are plenty of restaurants to cater for the number of visiting yachtsmen.
