JerseyJersey is the largest of The Channel Islands, and reputedly has more hours of sunshine per annum than any other place in the British Isles! With a beautiful coastline, a patchwork of small fields and a network of quiet country lanes Jersey is ripe for exploration. The main town is St. Helier, which is largely Victorian in character and has a variety of shops and restaurants. Other attractions include Mont Orgueil Castle. Like the other Channel Islands Jersey has many impressively preserved reminders of the occupation during the war, including the Jersey War Tunnels, as well as numerous bunkers and other fortifications. |
