Lincolnshire
At the moment it is probable that Lincolnshire is most famous for being the home to the magnificent Lincoln Cathedral, which stood in for Westminster Abbey in the film of the Da Vinci code. But apart from that Lincolnshire has many interests, such as miles of beautiful coastline, or inland the unspoilt country of the Lincolnshire Vale. It has a number of fascinating old towns, such as Boston Stamford or Grantham, birthplace of course of Margaret Thatcher. You can visit some of the country's great stately homes, such as Burghley House, or time your visit to take in a race meeting at Market Rasen.
