Mid Wales
Mid Wales contains some of the most beautiful and breathtaking scenery in the UK; from the edge of Snowdonia in the north down through the Cambrian Mountains to the Brecon Beacons in the south. Apart from simply admiring the views there are many other attractions. There are the attractive and well-preserved Georgian streets of Montgomery for example. Alternatively see the variety of Arts festivals in Aberystwyth, or for a unique experience visit the Centre for Alternative Technology in Machynlleth. You can see Wales's largest lake at Bala, with a range of wildlife and numerous water sports.
