North Wales

A predominantly rural area with stunning scenery, the Snowdonia National Park is a landscape of mountains and spectacular views. The area too is dotted with Edward I's still imposing castles, such as Harlech, Conway and Caernarfon, a world heritage site. At the other end of the scale visit Portmeirion, an Italianate village and location for the filming of sixties cult TV classic, "The Prisoner". Cross over to Anglesey, via the iconic Straits Bridge, the first modern suspension bridge, and visit the village with the longest name in Britain; Llanfair... see the rest for yourself!
