Perthshire

One of the most historic parts of Scotland, Perthshire has a wealth of attractions. There is Glamis Castle, childhood home of the Queen Mother, The island castle in Loch Leven where Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned for a year, or Scone Palace; the place where Scots Kings were crowned. In season you can pick fruit in the fertile region of Blairgowrie, and throughout Perthshire there are numerous places to investigate the local crafts. All this is in addition to the wonderful countryside and views which make Perthshire an excellent touring destination.
