Staffordshire

Stoke on Trent is the largest city in the county and is one of the key centres in Britain for ceramics, as it has been for hundreds of years, from Wedgwood and before, right up to the present day. The county has a number of important attractions. It has the dramatic Alton Towers on of the most impressive theme parks in the country. The 250 acres at Drayton Manor are no less impressive. There are some superb country houses as well, such as Weston Park, and the splendour of Lichfield Cathedral, well a medieval building well-restored in the nineteenth century.
